The Varikse artist Dik Kusters exhibits in the care center Ravestein in Geldermalsen. From October 27 to December 9, Waal landscapes can be seen there, for which Kusters has become known both regionally and nationally.
His work is characterized by refined landscapes in mixed techniques. The Waal plays an important role in this, with always impressive skies. The realistic image is further enhanced by the splash technique, also an essential characteristic of Kusters’ work.
In addition to the impressive Waal impressions, there are also a number of cityscapes from the region to see. The versatile exhibition also shows a few lithographs, a graphic technique printed in black and white.
The exhibition is part of a traveling exhibition through the region based on the book Behind the Clouds about the life and work of Dik Kusters, written by Fred Eggink.
Opening hours are from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free.
